Education

The museum offers a range of educational programs for nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary educational institutions. The various exhibitions present Danish and international contemporary art experimenting with media and different expressions through installation, sound, video, photo and performance. The artists present and discuss themes that can be of an existential, social or political nature. 
Teaching is dialogue based and founded on pedagogical teaching methods, which allow the students/participants to become familiar with contemporary art’s diverse forms of expression and themes. We apply a variety of learning techniques such as cooperative learning and story telling, which reinforce the student’s analytical, emotional and bodily skills. Our aim is to enhance understanding of the challenging and experimental nature of contemporary art as a meeting place for processes of reflection, creative development and critical debate, as well as providing input and offering new approaches to the student’s school subjects or projects.

Teaching is age differentiated and directed at primary school objectives and curriculum.
