Henrik Plenge Jakobsen Kapital and Molly Haslund ROCK AROUND THE WORLD
On Friday September 20 the Museum of Contemporary Art invites everyone to the opening of two exhibitions: Kapital by Henrik Plenge Jakobsen and ROCK AROUND THE WORLD by Molly Haslund.
Kapital is a retrospective exhibition installed inside the museum as well as in the public space of Roskilde. The museum forms the base of the exhibition that moves into the streets with posters, performances and sculptural interventions. The exhibition has as its point of departure the defining institutions of society such as the school, the police, the church and the bank.
At the opening a limousine shuttle will take visitors from Roskilde station to the Museum of Contemporary Art.
A guide with a city map and QR-codes will guide you to the works on display.
ROCK AROUND THE WORLD - an exhibition of works and models by Danish artist Molly Haslund. In her 'coordination models', that is a series of playground equipment, she invites participants to occupy her sculptures and play with each other. During the exhibition period Molly Haslund will appear with her overdimensioned compasses in the streets and public spaces of Roskilde.
ROCK AROUND THE WORLD displays for the first time old and new coordination models in one exhibition.
At the museum you can collect a map that guides you to the works around town.
