Rana Zeid/Book Launch
Syrian poet Rana Zeid will be visiting The Museum of Contemporary Art in week 43. This happens in relation to the museum’s publication of her seven essays from 2014-2016. The texts will be published in Danish and Arabic, and will take their point of departure in the painful experiences closely connected to the revolt against the Syrian regime, starting in Marts 2011. The critically acclaimed Zeid has already published poems in Danish at publisher Korridor and is now back in Denmark due to this new publication. Since her last visit she has been granted asylum in France, where she is now living with her husband, photographer Muzaffar Salman. He is also contributing to the publication with photographs from Aleppo 2013. The Museum will celebrate the publication with a reading by Rana Zeid and her translator June Dahy. This will take place at our good friends INSP! in Roskilde. Drinks and snacks will be served.
