Learning Museum
Learning Museum 2011-2013 is a national development project between teacher training institutions and museums: art, cultural heritage and natural history. The project comprises a range of teaching and internship programs where teaching students actively take part in the development of the museums’ educational programs for schools.
The teaching and internship programs develop teaching students’ vocational and pedagogical skills as well as their knowledge of how museums can be used in an educational context as alternative learning spaces for schools. At the same time, these programs help the museums keep up to date with what is going on in primary schools, and help the museums clarify how they can bring their knowledge to life for children and young people. The project is funded by the Danish Agency for Culture and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
