Show Me the Money!
An exhibition about consumption, power and global economies.
Every year, the Museum of Contemporary Art selects a new theme for an in-depth look. The chosen themes are always of keen local relevance while also demonstrating how closely people are connected across geographic borders in a globalised world. The theme for 2017 certainly embodies such duality: it addresses the world’s most important common denominator and the one feature that separates us most as human beings. The theme for 2017 is “global economies”.
Under the auspices of this overarching headline and the exhibition Show Me the Money!, we invite everyone to take part in a discussion of real estate bubbles, economic crises, money streams, the distribution of goods and much more. Each work in the exhibition will add another outlook on the overall presentation, helping to build a prismatic point of view that sheds light on multiple aspects of economies past and present.
Show Me the Money! is our first exhibition on global economies of the year. Featuring a range of carefully selected works by artists from Denmark and abroad.
